Daffodils

After the daffodils finish blooming, leave the leaves on until they turn brown.  This gives the leaves time to build up nutrients in the bulb for next year's growth. After the leaves turn brown, dig up the bulbs and replant again before frost. In this zone, you can leave the daffodils in the ground and they will come up next year and even divided to create more plants.  If they become too much, you can dig up the bulbs and transplant them.
