Liriope

Liriope is a very popular plant that is used in flower beds.  See Reference below.

If Liriope invades your lawn, the only way we know how to eliminate the Liriope without killing the turf is to dig it up to includeits root structure (a non-toxic solution).

There are chemicals available to kill Liriope, however it will also kill the surrounding lawn and it will need to be reseeded.
