Strawberries
There are two basic types of strawberries. One is like a determinate, which produces a large crop in the spring. These are referred to as "Junebearer" and are the most common in this area of the country. It gets too hot here for the "Everbearing" or "Day-Neutral" varieties like is found in the Pacific Northwest. Plants can be set out as early as mid April to early May. Runners grow during the long days of summer and then they blossom in the fall and set fruit around June. Reference(s): |
