3.     Soil conditions; sandy, clay, tilled bed, and has a soil test been completed?

4.     Water condition; well drained, soggy, dry.

5.      Describe the damage you see, what part of the plant/tree/shrub/turf is affected, how extensive, when was it first noticed, has it progressed over time?

6.     Is the damage isolated to one plant or are others affected?

7.     Is there a history of wildlife in your area?

8.     Has there been a change in the weather that may have caused the damage?

9.     Have you or your neighbor used pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers close to the affected plant/tree/shrub/turf?

10. Has there been any unnatural stress, e.g., construction, people, traffic, etc., on the planting site?
