SUMMARY:JCC Williamsburg Master Gardener Association Annual Plant Sale
DESCRIPTION:We are hosting our Annual Plant Sale on Saturday\, May 10\, from 9 am to noon at the Williamsburg Botanical Garden (WBG) located within Freedom Park at 5537 Centerville Road. This popular sale runs only on Saturday\, May 10\, rain or shine. Admission to the WBG and parking in Freedom Park are both free. The sale offers a wide selection of annuals\, perennials\, vegetables\, herbs\, trees\, and shrubs. Much of the plant stock has been raised by the Master Gardeners themselves.  In addition to plants\, visitors can shop the Green Thumb Market for gently used garden tools\, equipment\, and specialty items to perk up their garden decor. \nSo\, get a good start on this year’s garden by visiting the JCCWMGA Plant Sale! \n“Neighbors Helping Neighbors”

DESCRIPTION:James City County Williamsburg Master Gardener Association (JCCWMGA) offers free pruning lessons for individuals\, small groups to promote sustainable landscapes and environmental stewardship.  Master Gardeners provide hands-on instruction in pruning and maintaining shrubs and small trees\, typically on the homeowner’s property. Visits are scheduled for late winter and early spring on a first-come\, first-served basis. \n\n2025 Pruning Clinic Schedule* \nDecember 1\, 2024\, applications for the 2025 Pruning Clinics will open. To sign up for a visit from Master Gardeners\, please visit our website’s Pruning Clinic page to find and complete the Pruning Clinic Application form.  Once our home visit capacity is met\, the application window will close. From plant selection to design\, this program lays the foundation for a better understanding of these small but mighty sustainable gardens. Alexandra Cantwell graduated from Virginia Tech with a double major in environmental horticulture\, landscape design\, and contracting. She started working with Norfolk Botanical Garden afterward\, serving as a horticulturist for 5 years\, where she focused on native plants of the mid-Atlantic\, sustainable landscape practices\, and habitat creation.
